Easter's On It's Way!

Make someone smile with a little box of Easter treats this week!
I love the soft springy colors of the papers and the darling little stamped chick that wishes a Happy Easter to all!
The assembled box measures 2.75" x 3" plus the handle,
so there's room for lots of sweets.

Soft coloring with the Watercolor Pencils and a Blending Pen makes this little chick oh so sweet!  I added just a touch of glitter because it makes me a happy.  Well, except for cleaning it up, then it's a happy mess!

I hope you'll make this fun little box shape and decorate it as you wish.  It would be cute as a party favor or gift for any occasion.

You Make Me Happy

We've been singing "You Are My Sunshine" to our little Olivia and Maren since day 1.  When I saw this super cute March Stamp of the Month "Sunshine Birdies" set, I immediately loved it!  Not only for the darling birds and accent designs, but because it reminds me of my sweet little girls.

For this tweet card, I used the Penelope Paper Pack (stripe print), Crystal Blue cardstock embossed with the DOT Folder,  CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge, Memento Black Stamp Pad and the Watercolor Paint  and Brush set.  I had a little fun with the Flaxen Extra Thick Twine unraveled for the birdies "hair" feathers!  It made me giggle putting that in place!  Hope you enjoy this little birdie card!

Hello?

Hellooo Mr. Sock Monkey!

I decided to put a little spin on a stamp design and had a lot of fun turning a balloon animal into a sock monkey!  One of my favorite things to do is show versatility in products, especially stamp sets.   I'm still giggling about this one!

The vintage dude peeking around my card may be my hubby's first stuffed animal made by his grandmother for him when he was a baby.  I needed Mr. Monkey for some inspiration while I was creating and he did it well!

This card features two special stamp sets available only this month.  One is the February Stamp of the Month "Balloon Animals" and the other is "Share the Love", which is an Operation Smile set.   I love that $7 of every stamp set purchased is donated to Operation Smile to help with smile surgeries all over the world!

You won't want to miss either of these sets!
(Find stamp set images and pricing below)

Here's how:  The monkey is paper pieced with two monkey balloons stamped on Colonial White cardstock; one in Desert Sand ink and one in Chocolate ink.  I cut out the entire Chocolate monkey and just the feet and face of the Desert Sand image and attached the pieces with the fab CTMH Glue Pen!  Love that glue!  The hat is a 1/2" circle out of Bamboo cardstock and trimmed about a third of it to make it fit.  I painted his mouth with red Watercolor Paint and his eyes are Bitty Sparkles colored with the ShinHan Touch Twin Black Marker.  All the outlining is done with the Journaling Pen.  I cut the 1/2" Red Glitter heart with my trusty CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  Both the monkey and Hello bubble are attached to the card with 3D Foam Tape.  The hexagons and all cardstock pieces are edged in Chocolate ink.  The little Red Enamel Gems put the finishing touch on the monkey's hat and scattered around the card!  Ta-Da!  There you have it!

Here's the sentiment I stamped inside the card.
Hope this card makes you SMILE too!

Don't wait to order these two awesome sets!   Available only until February 29th!

Simply Inspired Blog Hop - Seasonal Expressions 1

It's a new year and a new Simply Inspired Blog Hop!  Yay!

You've just arrived from the blog of the always creative Pamela!
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm so excited to be featuring some awesome new product in the Close To My Heart Seasonal Expressions 1!  This little supplement is filled with so many beautiful papers, cool stamp sets and accents, and fun tools!

I chose the bright and colorful Penelope paper pack for my card.  I cut a card shape (page 24 - Sleeve - shift @ 5.5") from the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge using black paper.  Next I backed the front of the card with the cute little white Penelope print with tiny dots, and filled some of the circle cut outs with Thistle cardstock just for fun!

I'm loving the Watercolor Paint set, so I painted a wash of watercolor on Watercolor Paper and then stamped the happy little flowers form the "Friend In Me" stamp set.  After cutting them out, I had fun arranging a variety of flowers and leaves over the circles.  The sentiment circle is a 1.75" circle with a 2" black circle behind it.  I popped up both that circle and the two daisy type flowers with 3D Foam Tape....just cuz it's cute that way!  A few accents from the sparkly new silver Playful Puffies, plus a few Bitty Sparkles and a Glacier Extra Thick Twine bow were added for a little pizzazz!

Now hop on over to see what fabulous art Delightful Denise has to "wow" us with!

If you get lost along the way, here's the list of participants.

Roses in Pink and Orange and Yellow

Roses, hearts, and love are all ingredients for a pretty Valentine!  We made this card last week for our first night of Stamp Club of 2016.  We have such a great time creating, laughing, and of course, enjoying yummy desserts!  If you'd like to join one of my fun creative clubs or attend a workshop, give me a shout!

It's super fun and easy to watercolor paint these roses and leaves!  First, I used my Close To My Heart Watercolor Paints and large brush from the Brush Set to paint a simple wash of color on watercolor paper.  Allow to dry completely.

Next, stamp the beautiful rose from the January Stamp of the Month "Beloved Bouquet" on the colored papers with a black Memento stamp pad.  This pad is nice and black as well as water resistant.  I love this pad!

Cut out the stamped images and arrange in a pretty bouquet on a card.  Embellish with sparkly accents and ribbon and you have a beautiful card for a sweetheart!  The Poppy cardstock piece was embossed with the CTMH Heart Embossing Folder.

Supplies used:
La Vie En Rose Paper Pack : Poppy and Black Cardstock
White Cards/Envelopes
Heart Embossing Folder
Cuttlebug for Embossing

More Valentines to come soon!
