Wavy Blooms and Watercolor

These three cards actually began as a 12 x 12 page.  I had randomly stamped the Wavy Blooms stamps and watercolor painted them on a full piece of watercolor paper to use for a piece of framed wall decor.  I ended up changing my mind for it's purpose and didn't want to waste all those pretty flowers.

From the stamped and painted watercolor paper, I cut a 4" x 5.25" card front for the thank you card.  I stamped the little honeycomb stamp from Reel Life in Whisper ink to add a little background interest and then added some Silver Sequins for bling.

Hmmm...what to do with the rest?  I decided to cut out the remaining flowers from the stamped and watercolor painted paper and add them to the two fancy card bases I had cut with
the Artistry Cartridge.
The circles were simply painted with a round brush.  Let them dry and outlined them with my Journaling Pen.  So quick and easy!

Smile Some More!

Because I STILL can't get enough of this Life In Pictures stamp set, here's another card!

Since this is the April Stamp of the Month, it will be gone soon so get yours soon!  It's only available to order through April 30th.  You can order here

Polaroid cameras were and are cool!  I remember as a kid we had one of the very early models.  My dad was a fantastic amateur photographer and was fascinated with all camera styles.  I would suppose that's why I love vintage cameras.

I used a large brush and painted on the center swashes, is that a word?, of color mixed with a lot of water.  I let it dry and splattered with the same colors.  It's a fun look and very easy to do!

Celebrate a Birthday!

We're having a ball each month at my Decor Frame Class!
We meet once a month to create a fun insert for our

This past week we made this darling birthday design to celebrate the special birthdays in your home.  I plan to put each birthday girl or boy's photo on the little 4x4 Canary Yellow cardstock mat for the week of their special day.  After their celebration, I'll return another page insert that is designed around that particular month, for example: Halloween insert for October, Thanksgiving for November....you get the picture!
Here's a Winter Wonderland insert we made for January.

The Close to My Heart Exclusive Cricut Cartridges worked like a dream to design and cut the project!  I used shapes from four different cartridges; Art Philosophy, Artiste, Artbooking, and Artistry.

The Embossing Folders add nice texture to the cupcake base and bow on the present.  I put a bit of 3D Foam Tape behind the bow to make it pop and also create space for a Foundry Pin Clip to slide behind.  The pin holds the photo mat in place as seen in the large photo.

By the way, that's my daughter in the photo.  She's a beauty!

Supplies:
Cardstock - White Daisy, Crystal Blue, Canary Yellow, Thistle, Pacifica, Black
Chevron and Dot Embossing Folders
Retired Products: Foundry Pin Clip, Wishes Paper Pack and Assortment (Clearance item.  Lots of great deals found HERE)
Dotty For You - yellow patterned paper behind the bow
