Babycakes, Babycakes, Babycakes!

The new Close To My Heart Idea Book/Catalog is filled with so many beautiful products!  The adorable Babycakes paper pack makes my choice for a favorite an easy one!  I love it not just because we are expecting our first grandbaby in early October, but also because it's super versatile.  The colors and papers will compliment many occasions!

Cards, Specials, and We Care!

Here in Minnesota during the last week of May, we are still in search of Spring or anything remotely resembling sunny, warm weather.  It just hasn't been happening for us this year. 

 

So, to forget the weather, we'll enjoy a few card ideas and some great offers from CTMH!

I recently held a special workshop called "Kit and Kaboodle Day".  Guests came and made up to 4 projects including a Card Set in a File Holder Box, a Kraft Container and a Mini Album made with the beautiful Buzz and Bumble papers, and a fun Banner for summer.  I will begin with a couple of samples from the Card set project. 

(Watch for posts of the remaining projects soon.)

 

This simple design features the beautiful "For Always" paper pack and a dimensional flower created with the tiny folded hearts.  So easy to do using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  I cut seven little 3/4" hearts and folded each heart in half, crease well with a Bone Folder.  Arrange in a circle and adhere with a little adhesive on one side of the folded heart.  Have all the hearts going in one direction to create a pinwheel effect and accent the center with a red sparkle or brad

.

Ruby Stamp Pad, Black Shimmer Trim, Clear Sparkles Assortment. 

 

 

 

 

This quick and easy banner card is made with 1" x 4 1/2" strips.  Cut a little V on one end and overlap a little kittywampus for a fun casual look.  I used some of my all time favorite papers from "Dream Pop", the National Scrapbooking Month Special.  Love it!

Baby, Oh Baby!

This is a sweet little baby card we made at my recent Spring Card Class.  I love the Chantilly papers and the soft, subtleness of the Slate Washi Tape and inks.  Welcome little one!
