Tri Fold Shutter Card

The June Stamp of the Month "The Long Way Home"  is a blast to play with!  I really had fun making this Tri Fold Shutter card, however, I am not going to say it was a "quick card".  It took 30, yes 30, cut pieces of paper to create this one card!  We made it at my Stamp Club last week so I prepped 12 of them.  

That's a mere 360 pieces!  

It did turn so cute and worth every minute of prep time!

Here's a simple score and cut photo.

Folding is from left to right: mountain, valley, mountain, valley.  

Then reverse the 2 center folds just in the large middle section.

  There are many great patterns and videos available for the Tri Fold Shutter card found by doing an online search.  Just take your pick.  They're all good!

A Bunch of Love

Here's the first card I made when my new products arrived.  The Florence papers feature gorgeous colors such as Flaxen, Peacock, Poppy, Ruby, Saffron and Whisper.  So pretty! 

I used the super duper handy dandy Thin Cuts which match the

"A Bunch of Love" stamp set images.  They make life SO much easier!  Just run them through the Cuttlebug with your paper choice and ta-da, lots of cut out shapes ready to stamp with my favorite black Memento pad and color!  Love it!

I used the CTMH Watercolor Pencils and a Blending Pen to color the flowers.  The daisy cutouts are from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge in Poppy and Peacock cardstock.  I finished it off by sprinkling on a little sparkle with the new Florence Sequins and some Bitty Sparkles.

But Where's the Cake?

Here's to thinking outside the box or in this case, square!  This "Celebrate with Cake" May Stamp of the Month has a cute hand drawn style with lots of potential and versatility!  I used a cake layer shape and gave it a spin in all directions creating a background for this cheerful Birthday card.

After all the squares were stamped, I added pastel colors of watercolor washes to each shape.  When dry, I stamped the little roses in random squares and painted them with soft pink and green paint.  

I love how the new Calypso Sequins add just the right amount of shine!
